About the Rodriquez Legacy

I created Caselta Rodriquez in Create-a-Sim (well, no duh). Caselta begins her new life in Bridgeport, and thus also begins my new/first non-official legacy. Just like WoWLynnia, this legacy will not be following the Legacy Challenge Rules posted on The Sims 3's forums by Pinstar1161; I also don't plan on keeping score since I will drive myself crazy with checking back and forth between game-play and the rules, hoping I didn't just do something that makes me fail the challenge. Never done that? Hmm, maybe it's just me.
Anyways, I will simply play out my Sims virtual lives as they progress or how I see fit - mostly it will be the second option since sometimes Sims just stand around and need a little playful hard shove to be a bit more active.
For this legacy, I will play on a 158 Sim lifespan, so my Sims can spend more quality time with each future heir and enable them to complete their desired wishes in life - thus, living a full and happy life... Hopefully. Babies will age up in 6 days, toddlers in 10, children in 14, teens in 20, young adults in 42, adults in 32, and elders in 34 days.
For each generation, anyone can be the heir - though it may seem to be a matriarch family at first. If more than one child is born, RANDOM will choose who the future heir shall be, that is for the time being.
There is no restriction to whom the heir marries or partners up with; there is no restriction to what the heir's and their spouse's last name will be. There will also be no restrictions on what lifetime wishes or careers they can have, and NPC's (Non-Playable Characters) are fair game - as in, your Sims can bring in the next generation with the wacko-mailman that likes to kick your trashcan down every morning.
There mus always be a spare available, just in case the current heir or heir-to-be meets an untimely death and/or does not have any children to continue the family's bloodline. The spare can be a sibling, an uncle or aunt, a cousin, or any other relative as long as they are a blood descendant of the legacy's founder.
There are no restrictions on the family of the heir as to who they can or cannot marry, what they do with their lives, or where they may live. If there comes a time when the spare is needed, he/she may find a husband/wife (if they don't already have one), and continue where the previous selected heir left off.
For the generations to come, I will choose their personality/traits on RANDOM - which will be used to select a number between 1 and 5. If the numbers 1 or 3 are chosen, the child will receive one of their mother's traits - which is then randomized again between the numbers 1 and 5, and the trait is given to the child in the order their mother's traits are listed on the in-game Sims panel. The same process goes to the father if the numbers 2 or 4 are chosen. In either case, if the child already has one of the parents' selected traits, I will roll between the numbers 1 and 4 for the remaining traits - if they child has two traits from each parent, I will roll between the numbers 1 and 3, and so on. If the number 3 is chosen on the first roll, then the randomize trait in-game button will choose the trait. This makes it more likely for the child to inherit one of their parents' personality traits, but still possible for the child to be their own person.
When the heir/children get older, they are allowed to move out of their parents' house. It keeps things interesting and a bit more realistic - I mean, not many people go out, hook up with someone, then take them back to their house, and say, "Don't make a lot of noise, my parents are sleeping in the room next door." Whaaat...? Besides, some people want to move out of their parents' house because it may be a sign of a new found freedom; and finding out how much it costs to live in a house this day and age.
Lets not forget the good o'l family graveyard where your heir will join, sooner or later. Sometimes, I'll make my Sims go to their family's graveyard and mounr for close relatives that passed away recently. Or maybe just to have a little view back in time about their anchestors.
In case you're wondering (I'm willing to bet that you're probably are not), the PC that I use is a Dell Inspiron 15R Switch Laptop, which I received as a birthday gift on October 5, 2011. A while ago, the CD/DVD drive broke, and I paid for a substitute  Memorex CD/DVD drive writer. It worked great and I got to play the Sims again. But, in early June, my laptop would not let me get into my account, since it said that my laptop's CD/DVD drive was broken. I was like, "You don't say?" Anyways, long story short: My dad got someone to repair it, and I just got my laptop back yesterday afternoon (July 14, 2013). The laptop works good as new, but everything stored on it was erased. I didn't back up my files because I'm such a freakin' noob. But, I'm sort of glad it did because I had a bunch of random crap on my laptop that I never got around to removing it - though, this time I'm going to back up my files. Including my Sims 3 games because I lot the registration code for The Sims 3 base game, and I won't be able to play if I don't have it. I have the game registered on The Sims 3 website, but I don't know how to get the code back. Anyways, I'm just glad to have my laptop back so I can finally watch some YouTube videos without it saying, "This video is not available on mobile devices." Pssshhh...

About the Creator
I'm a fourteen year-old (going into high school this fall) student from Florida. I live with my large family of six - including myself; I also own a Chihuahua mixed Rough-Coat Jack Russel Terrier named Rosa, and a Chihuahua mixed named Brownie - my pet cat Faith, passed away in in early June (her death is still uncertain), and she celebrated her birthday on June 7. She had been (in human years) four years-old, and we had owned her since she was still breast-feeding kitten.
I've been playing The Sims 3 since 2011 on the Xbox 360, mostly playing families and making up a story for them along the way - yet I never really even wrote down their stories. In 2012, I bought the PC version of the game, and now I own every expansion pack except for World Adventures; Town Life Stuff Pack is the only stuff pack I own.
Besides playing the Sims, I also enjoy reading, writing fiction stories, and playing other games such as Dance Central 2, Wii Fitness with friends, and The Sims 2 Double Deluxe (in my opinion, I find The Sims 2 a bit more complicated than The Sims 3).
